What are Green Fees?
A green fee is the amount charged by a Golf Club, to visiting players, for a round of golf.
Golf Clubs will charge different amounts depending on their pricing strategy. At most Clubs a player has a choice to pay for 9 holes or 18 holes depending on how long they have to play. The green fee cost can differ between 9 and 18 holes or in some circumstances be the same cost for both.
Green fees can be paid at the club house. When the club house is closed some Clubs will offer a honesty box to collect cash payments. These boxes are usually slots built into the wall of the club house where a player fills out an envelope with their details and the correct cash amount.
greenfees.com.au allows players to pay their green fees online for participating clubs when the club house is closed.
